The legendary city where Civil Rights leaders moved forward with their vision for a new South, is today

a thriving, cosmopolitan city, both economically and culturally. From the Martin Luther King, Jr. National

Historic Site to Southern cooking, Atlanta lays claim to the title "Capital of the New South," and gives

students a sense of how life has evolved from the days of slavery, to segregation, to the world they

know today.

Highlights

2:00PM	Arrival in Atlanta. Join your tour guide for a guided tour of Atlanta's spectacular skyline and learn how the city was rebuilt after General Sherman destroyed it over 100 years ago.
4:00PM	Tour the World of Coca-Cola Pavilion. The museum highlights the story of Coca-Cola with a spectacular futuristic soda fountain and chance to shop at the Coca-Cola store featuring a vast array of merchandise.
6:30PM	Dinner. Enjoy an evening swim in your hotel's indoor pool.

8:00AM	Breakfast at your hotel.
9:30AM	Visit and tour Atlanta Cyclorama. View the 1864 Civil War Battle of Atlanta painted in 1885 on an immense cylindrical canvas that has been fleshed out with three dimensional figures, sound and light effects, narration and a rotating seating platform.
11:00AM	Tour of CNN Studios.
12:30PM	Time for shopping and browsing at Underground Atlanta.
Time for lunch at your expense.
2:30PM	Admission to Georgia's Stone Mountain Park. Site of Confederate heroes across the face of Stone Mountain-the world's largest exposed mass of granite.
6:00PM	Dinner at Stone Mountain Inn.
9:30PM	View the laser show (pending schedule).

8:00AM	Breakfast at your hotel and check out.
10:00AM	Visit the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site. Tour the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center, Dr. King's birth home and Ebenezer Baptist Church.
1:00PM	Time for lunch at your expense.
2:00PM	Depart for home.
